Details
Each soul-fire hit deals 40 damage and applies 15 DPS burn for 4 seconds (60 total burn damage). When a burning zombie is destroyed, its remains are reanimated as a temporary zombie minion that defends the lane for 8 seconds before dissipating. Reanimated minions absorb zombie attacks but cannot be targeted by your plants.
Necroflame fires soul-fire projectiles that deal 40 direct damage and ignite zombies with a 15 DPS burn lasting 4 seconds. Its unique mechanic reanimates destroyed zombie remains as temporary plant defenders for 8 seconds, creating a front-line buffer of zombie minions to absorb hits for your real plants. In Survival Mode, Necroflame in the front-middle column creates a self-generating buffer from each killed zombie wave. Pair with Firnace or Endoflame for layered fire damage that maximizes burn stacks. In Endless Mode, the reanimation mechanic becomes more powerful as zombie density increases, since more kills produce more temporary defenders. The 175 Sun cost is moderate for a plant that deals damage, burns enemies, and generates temporary front-line cover simultaneously.
Necroflame is most effective against dense lanes where many standard zombies are killed rapidly, producing multiple reanimated defenders simultaneously. Each reanimated minion becomes a temporary tank that absorbs zombie hits protecting your real plants.
Strengths
Soul-fire plus burn combo totals up to 100 damage per projectile
Reanimated zombie defenders create temporary front-line cover
175 Sun cost is moderate for the triple-function output
800 toughness is reliable as a mid-field attacker
Burn stacks with other fire-type plants for compounded fire damage
Weaknesses
Aerial zombies bypass the soul-fire projectile entirely
Fire immunity negates burn - only base 40 damage applies
Reanimated minions last only 8 seconds requiring constant kills to maintain coverage
3.5-second attack interval is moderate leaving small gaps between fire cycles
Cannot reanimate Gargantuar or boss-type zombies
1 Place in front of Firnace or Endoflame so burned zombies fall within reanimation range to create temporary front-line defenders
2 Pair with Coldsnap Bean to slow zombies before soul-fire hits for guaranteed burn application on slower targets
3 In Endless Mode, maintain Necroflame in the front-middle column to produce the most reanimated defenders from the densest zombie flow
4 Use Garlic to funnel multiple lanes into Necroflame's fire path for maximum kills and maximum reanimations
5 Back it with Melon-pult for heavy burst damage on the standard zombies Necroflame keeps burning
