Version 4.0 was released on September 20, 2026. This update brings the Snow Night map, new Odyssey fusions, a brand new Demon Plants category, seven mechanical and snow themed zombies, fresh Gods: Evolution content, and several synergy reworks. Demon Plants are cursed versions of classic plants. They are tied to the new Curse mechanics in Endless mode, so expect them to play very differently from their regular counterparts.

Snow Night Map: A new snowy night stage (Snowfield Night Part 1) that anchors most of the new plants and zombies in this update.
Alpha Assassin Squad: The Alpha Assassin Squad now fights on your side as player allies in the Snow Night map.
Alpha Book Diary: The first diary entry of the Alpha Book has been added, expanding the Alpha Squad story.
Gods: Evolution Content: Dragonbreath Pepper, Supremacy-shroom, Apeacalypse Railgun, and Big Crunch Squash join Gods: Evolution, along with Gods Coins and a new encyclopedia for the mode.
Inferno Difficulty & Curse Trials: Gods: Evolution gets a tougher Inferno difficulty and new Curse Trial traits.
Curse Plants in Endless: Cursed plants now appear in Endless mode.
Scratch-offs Minigame: A new scratch card style minigame has been added.
Reworks & Balance Changes
Helios Cabbage, Pulsar & Magnetar: Synergy between these three plants has been reworked.
Selene Cabbage & Magnetar: Synergy between Selene Cabbage and Magnetar has been reworked.
Big Crunch Squash: Revamped in Gods: Evolution.
Professor Cherry-Z: Revamped with updated behavior.
Balance Updates: Various plants and modes have received balance adjustments.
Bug Fixes
General bug fixes and stability improvements across modes.
Some categories such as Upgraded Fusions, Infusible Fusions, and Zombotany Zombies are still listed as TBA by the developers. We will update this PvZ Fusion 4.0 log as soon as those additions are confirmed.
