Details
Lobs a cabbage head in an arc that travels the full lane length, ignoring ground obstacles. When combined with a Torchwood in the same lane, cabbage heads are ignited mid-arc and deal an additional 30 fire damage on impact, totaling 90 damage per hit.
Cabbage-pult is a reliable and cost-effective lobber that forms the backbone of many middle and late Adventure Mode builds. At 100 Sun, it offers 60 damage per throw on a 3-second cycle, which is among the best damage-per-sun values for lob-type plants. Its arcing trajectory allows it to fire over Tall-nuts, Pumpkins, and other wall plants without obstruction, making it a natural partner for any wall-heavy setup. In Survival Mode, line the back two columns with Cabbage-pults and let front-row walls soak damage while the lobbers continuously arc damage over them. Pair with Torchwood to add fire damage to each cabbage head, increasing effective output by roughly 50%. In fog or night stages, Cabbage-pult benefits from Plantern illumination to maintain targeting accuracy. Kernel-pult complements it well by stunning zombies in place, giving Cabbage-pult guaranteed hits on stationary targets. A solid base lobber that scales well into the midgame and remains useful even when more powerful options are available.
Cabbage-pult handles any ground-level zombie efficiently. Buckethead Zombies and Football Zombies that can withstand direct-fire plants are worn down steadily by the 60-damage arcs. It also naturally targets the first zombie in a lane, making it effective at focusing down lead threats in a rush without requiring manual targeting.
Strengths
Excellent damage-per-sun ratio at 100 Sun for 60 damage
Arcing trajectory fires over any wall plant
Torchwood synergy adds 30 fire damage per throw
3-second attack interval provides consistent output
Available early in Adventure Mode making it a core mid-game plant
Weaknesses
Cannot target aerial or underground zombies
Medium toughness of 600 can fall to zombie breaches quickly
Slower than direct-fire plants like Peashooter or Snipea
Requires Torchwood or Kernel-pult support to reach full potential
Back-row placement limits options in short-grid stages
1 Always pair with Torchwood in the same lane to add 30 fire damage to every arc
2 Back up with Kernel-pult to stun zombies in place and guarantee arc hit landing
3 Place in the last two columns of the grid to maximize lane depth and arc targeting
4 In fog stages, use Plantern to maintain targeting visibility for night-stage Cabbage-pult accuracy
5 In Last Stand, fill rear columns with Cabbage-pults as your primary sustained damage engine
