What is Pumpkin?

Pumpkin PvZ Fusion is placed on top of an existing plant, creating a protective pumpkin casing around it. Zombies must chew through the Pumpkin shell first before they can damage the plant inside, essentially giving that plant a second health pool.

Its value scales with the plant it protects. A Pumpkin around Melon-pult or Gloom-shroom transforms an expensive investment into a much harder target to eliminate. Pumpkin PvZ Fusion is an especially important tool in Survival Endless where keeping high-value plants alive through multiple wave cycles is critical.

How to Get Pumpkin

Pumpkin PvZ Fusion unlocks after completing the first Night chapter in Adventure Mode. It is available as a standard seed packet for all levels after that unlock.

Abilities

  • Pumpkin Shell: Creates a durable pumpkin casing around whatever plant is placed in its tile. Zombies must destroy the shell before reaching the plant inside, effectively giving the inner plant twice the survivability.
  • Shell Replacement: When the Pumpkin shell is damaged or destroyed, you can replace it by planting a new Pumpkin PvZ Fusion on the same tile without disturbing the plant inside.

Tips and Tricks

  • Always Pumpkin PvZ Fusion your most expensive plants first — Melon-pult, Gloom-shroom, and Cob Cannon are top priority for shell protection.
  • In Survival Endless, replace Pumpkins PvZ Fusion the moment they show cracks rather than waiting for them to break — losing the shell on a key plant mid-wave is far more costly than the 125 sun.
  • Pumpkin PvZ Fusion on blockers like Tall Nut creates an extremely durable frontline obstacle that takes zombies much longer to eat through.
  • You can place Pumpkin PvZ Fusion on an empty tile as a standalone blocker if you are in an emergency and need something to slow zombies immediately.
  • Pumpkin PvZ Fusion does not stack — placing two Pumpkins on the same plant does not add two shells. Only one Pumpkin wraps around a plant at a time.
