What is Spikerock?

Spikerock PvZ Fusion is an evolved version of Spikeweed, covered in reinforced rocky spikes that deal much higher damage per zombie that walks over them. It can damage zombies that walk on it repeatedly, and unlike many plants, it can also damage vehicles and heavy zombie types that would simply crush a standard Spikeweed.

Its ability to damage vehicles and Gargantuars is what separates Spikerock from its predecessor. Zombie bobsleds, Zamboni zombies, and other vehicle types that drive over Spikeweed are destroyed by Spikerock PvZ Fusion instead, adding a unique form of anti-vehicle defense to your toolkit.

How to Get Spikerock

Spikerock PvZ Fusion upgrades from Spikeweed using upgrade resources available after completing the Roof chapter in Adventure Mode. The upgrade requires Spikeweed to already be in your collection.

Abilities

Rock-Hard Spikes: Each zombie that walks over Spikerock takes heavy damage from the reinforced rocky spikes, more than double the damage a standard Spikeweed would inflict per step.
Vehicle Destroyer: Zombie vehicles like zambonis and bobsleds that drive over Spikerock PvZ Fusion are destroyed immediately rather than passing through safely, eliminating the ice trail and zombie passenger simultaneously.

Tips and Tricks

Place Spikerock PvZ Fusion in your frontmost columns where zombies spend the most time walking over it to accumulate maximum spike damage.
Spikerock PvZ Fusion is especially valuable in levels with Zamboni Zombies — position it in their lane to immediately destroy both the vehicle and the ice trail.
In Survival Endless, Spikerock PvZ Fusion in the second column creates a constantly active damage source that chips away at every zombie regardless of what your other plants are doing.
Spikerock PvZ Fusion has Very Slow recharge, so it is worth purchasing an upgrade slot for additional copies at the game shop before Survival runs.
Combine Spikerock PvZ Fusion with Kernel-pult butter stuns — zombies stopped on top of the spikes by a butter stun take repeated damage while immobilized.
