Automatically deflects all airborne projectiles from Catapult Zombies, Bungee Zombie grabs, and volleyball attacks within its 3x3 protection area. Plants in the zone cannot be grabbed by Bungee Zombies or struck by catapult objects. Umbrella Leaf itself can still be targeted.
Umbrella Leaf is a specialized utility plant that protects all plants within its 3x3 area from airborne attack types: catapult zombie projectiles, bungee zombie grabs, and volleyball zombie attacks. In Roof stages where catapult zombies are common, one Umbrella Leaf protects a 3x3 cluster of plants from all thrown objects. In Survival Mode, use it in columns where Catapult Zombies and Bungee Zombies appear frequently to shield your expensive plants from targeted removal. Umbrella Leaf does nothing against ground or swimming zombies, so it is a situational plant best carried when the stage rotation includes airborne attack types. At 100 Sun it is a moderate investment for a purely defensive utility.
Umbrella Leaf specifically counters Catapult Zombies that destroy back-row plants and Bungee Zombies that steal plants from the grid. In stages with heavy catapult and bungee zombie presence, Umbrella Leaf is irreplaceable protection for your economy and key offensive plants.
