When a zombie investigates or attacks the box, it detonates releasing a 4-second full freeze in a 2x2 area. Simultaneously drops a random power-up (sun, plant food, or +50% attack speed for adjacent plants for 5 seconds). Destroyed after activation.
Frozen Giftbox is a trap plant that activates when a zombie investigates it, releasing a freeze blast and dropping a random power-up. Place it at strategic chokepoints where zombies are guaranteed to encounter it. The freeze effect locks all zombies in the 2x2 area for 4 seconds, giving your offensive plants free shots on stationary targets. The random power-up can be sun drops, plant food, or a temporary stat boost for nearby plants. In Survival Mode, place Frozen Giftboxes at the head of each lane to freeze the first wave of each flag while your plants deal damage freely. In Adventure Mode, use them to create guaranteed freeze windows for heavy hitters. The 400 toughness means zombies will investigate and open it quickly, which is intentional - the faster a zombie opens it, the sooner your freeze window begins.
Frozen Giftbox is most effective when placed in front of slow high-toughness zombies like Buckethead and Gargantuar variants, as the 4-second freeze gives lobbers and area plants maximum free-damage time against their large health pools.
