What is Lily Pad?

Lily Pad PvZ Fusion is a non-combat utility plant placed on water tiles in pool levels. It creates a floating platform that allows any land-based plant to be placed on top of it, effectively converting a water tile into a land tile for that plant.

Its value is purely strategic — Lily Pad PvZ Fusion itself does nothing offensively or defensively. But by enabling land plants in water rows, it expands your plant placement options enormously in pool levels, allowing strong attackers like Melon-pult or Kernel-pult to cover water lanes they could not otherwise reach.

How to Get Lily Pad

Lily Pad PvZ Fusion unlocks automatically when you first reach a Pool level in Adventure Mode. It is available as a free seed packet from that point and is always listed in pool-compatible levels.

Abilities

Water Platform: Provides a stable floating surface on any water tile, allowing any non-water plant to be placed on top of it as if the tile were land.
Stackable Base: Lily Pad can be placed first and then any land plant placed on top without needing to remove it. The land plant simply occupies the space above the Lily Pad.

Tips and Tricks

Always bring Lily Pad PvZ Fusion in pool levels — skipping it cuts your available plant placement tiles significantly in water rows.
Use Lily Pad PvZ Fusion in the most dangerous water row positions first so your strongest attacker plants can cover those lanes.
Lily Pad PvZ Fusion is very cheap at 25 sun, so place them early at the start of pool levels to expand your grid before the waves hit.
If a zombie destroys the plant on top of a Lily Pad, the Lily Pad itself usually remains so you can replant without another Lily Pad.
In Fog levels with water tiles, Lily Pad PvZ Fusion combined with Plantern gives you both visibility and valid placement in the hidden zone.
