When takes damage, it begins storing the total amount of damage it receives. If the damage exceeds 100/500/1000, it stores 2x/4.5x/6x the damage instead. Once the stored damage exceeds 1000, it fires a melon projectile that deals damage equal to the stored amount, up to a maximum equal to the HP. Additionally, gains a temporary shield equal to the stored amount which decays over 5 seconds.

Unlike the , has 8000 HP instead of 4000.

Pros
Cons
Combines Wall-nut's heavy toughness with Melon-pult's offensive power
High HP for an attacker makes it naturally resilient under fire
Provides both lane blocking and active melon damage from a single tile
Time between attacks is slower than dedicated shooters
High sun cost for a fusion plant
Flying zombies bypass its attacks entirely
1 Use Melon-nut as a tanky mid-lane plant that blocks progress while actively damaging zombies.
2 Position it one tile ahead of pure offensive plants so it absorbs hits while they fire freely.
3 Pair with fast-shooting plants in adjacent lanes to compensate for Melon-nut's slower attack timing.
4 Use Cherry Bomb or instant-kill plants as backup for waves that overwhelm Melon-nut's HP.
QDoes Melon-nut attack zombies or just block them?
Melon-nut both blocks zombie advancement and actively fires melon projectiles, making it a dual-purpose frontline plant.
QHow tough is Melon-nut compared to a standard Wall-nut?
Melon-nut inherits substantial toughness from its Wall-nut parent, giving it more durability than most Common-tier offensive plants.
QWhat is the best strategy for Melon-nut placement?
Place it slightly ahead of your main offensive line so it slows the wave and deals damage while protecting more fragile plants behind it.
