Tapping a designates it as the Team Leader, as indicated by its lightning orb sparkling. Only one Leader can exist at a time; all others become Members.
Team Leader: Strikes a zombie within a 5×5 area with electricity. On hit, it deals 100 damage and can arc up to 5 times to other zombies (the same zombie can become a non-consecutive target too) within a 2.2-tile radius. Arcs deal 50% the original damage.
Members: Do not attack. Each Member increases the Leader’s attack damage by 1.5× and increases the number of arcs by 3.

When the electric arc kills a zombie, a random on the field summons a nerfed that fires only 20 straight-shot bullets, each dealing 160 damage.

Pros

  • Chain arc hits — Multiple enemies struck per attack with zero additional cost.
  • Instant contact — No projectile travel time means full damage on even fast-moving targets.
  • Scales with density — Chain damage multiplies with the number of zombies within arc range.

Cons

  • Spread penalty — Chain advantage requires closely grouped enemies; sparse zombies break the chain.
  • Setup dependency — Needs slow or wall plants to keep enemies in chain range for multiple cycles.
  • Average toughness — 300 benefits from a defensive plant in front for sustained operations.
1 Observe how zombies cluster in the first wave to identify which lane will sustain the densest enemy groups — place Thunder Bunnion there for the highest chain hit frequency.
2 A slow-type plant immediately ahead of Thunder Bunnion groups enemies tightly within arc chain range, multiplying the number of hits per cycle.
3 In levels where zombies reliably arrive one at a time and spread out, a single-target shooter may outperform Thunder Bunnion — check density before committing.
4 Mid-field placement of Thunder Bunnion (column 4 or 5) often catches approaching zombie groups in their densest formation before they have time to spread on approach.

What is Thunder Bunnion and how does it work?

Thunder Bunnion is a Odyssey fusion in Plants vs Zombies Fusion 3.9, created by merging two specific base plants. As an Odyssey-type fusion, it is designed for and exclusive to Odyssey mode encounters. It attacks every 1.5 Seconds covering 5 × 5 Tiles, dealing 100 to all zombies with 300 toughness.

Does Thunder Bunnion require sun to plant?

No — Thunder Bunnion is an Odyssey-exclusive fusion with no sun cost. It is unlocked through Odyssey mode gameplay rather than purchased with sun on the main lawn.

What are Thunder Bunnion's strengths in PvZ Fusion?

Thunder Bunnion's primary strengths are its 100 damage output and 300 toughness. These attributes combine with parent-plant traits to make it a reliable, adaptable choice for a wide variety of lane setups.

What zombies is Thunder Bunnion best against?

Thunder Bunnion is most effective against all zombies given its covering 5 × 5 Tiles attack coverage. In levels where those zombie types are frequent, placing Thunder Bunnion in the lane they favor extracts the maximum possible return from its attack cycle.
